mini office reveal

recently, my company has enabled us to work from home more often. in atlanta, that's pretty much a requirement due to the traffic. everyone thinks their city has bad traffic, but you don't understand until you hit LA or atlanta. in fact, it often hinders weekday social plans since you have to allot one hour in transit time to get to happy hour only 4 miles away. anyway, woe is me but I won't bore you with traffic tales.

with this new work from home policy, I definitely needed a second monitor for the creative work and spreadsheet work that I do. I found an awesome one at best buy, yes, in person at the actual store versus online - for about $100. I still have a lot of organizing to do eventually, but I thought I'd share the current state of my work from home office!

I found this beautiful, huge bulletin board at homegoods. it's normal to keep recipes in your office, right? :)

I also love that I have this little office space since it's gives me an opportunity to showcase some special items to me that I wouldn't necessarily put in a public area of the home such as my diplomas and my bachelorette party sash.

when I am working in this office, you can typically find me with a cup of coffee and a candle burning which is definitely a perk of WFH.

I'm still working on some of the other walls in the office, currently we have a several large maps of texas and georgia. recently, we added this black and white map of atlanta from modernmapart.com. I love the detail and of course, the black and white.

if you're in the market for a map for yourself or a great gift, be sure to check out their website. they have all different sizes and cities - I also picked up the frame on amazon which was super simple. thanks to modern map for gifting me this map, as always, my opinions are my own.

do you have a home office? what's your favorite part about it. I am also very guilty of working from my bed or the couch and am hoping this office helps break those bad habits! anyone else guilty of this?

  1. It's so nice when you can work from home! There are perks of an office environment, but you can't beat the comfort and convenience of your own house. I love that map, it would be a perfect gift!

  4. I love your Atlanta framed map! Such a cute office. I would love to work from home, although the traffic is not so bad where I live, so I don't really have an excuse to.
