happy goats make happy soaps: serenity skincare

you may know that I work in automotive sales training, and it goes without saying that I have the pleasure of working with a lot of very cool individuals. many of them have awesome work-related stories, be it international travel for vehicle launches, celeb events, side hustles, etc.

however, to my knowledge, only one of my coworkers owns a farm of sweet goats that make all natural soaps, lotions, and more. seriously, just wait until you see the goats. as if the products weren't yummy enough, the beautiful packaging just seals the deal.

if this picture of sweet cuddling goats makes you want more, be sure to meet the goats of serenity farms on their website. did you know that goat milk sensitivities are extremely rare? even those who are allergic or intolerant of cow’s milk are generally not sensitive to goat milk. serenity's goat milk soaps do not contain any detergents, petroleum derived products, preservatives, or any other non-natural additives. I also learned that goat’s milk pH balance is so close to that of our own skin, that it helps to moisturize, rather than strip the oils from our skin.

serenity has lots of goat's milk-based products to choose from, and I was lucky enough to try the ultimate skincare set in lavender. this lush set includes the exfoliating and hydrating salt glow, the creamy and gentle goat's milk soap, and the moisturizing goat milk body cream for a fabulous experience that will leave your skin clean, soft and nourished for the whole day.

side note, do you ever find yourself hoarding nice things? while I couldn't wait to try these yummy products, I also didn't want to open them or break the seals. it's also why I have some really nice pieces of apparel that I never wear, I just want the nice things to last forever. I finally willed myself to open the bottles and decided to give myself a quick hand exfoliation. my hands are constantly so dry, I have to apply lotion every time I wash them otherwise they feel so unbearably dry. I honestly could not believe how moisturized and soft my hands were after the salt glow and body cream.

for my hand exfoliation, I used the salt glow under warm water for a minute or so, then rinsed and toweled off my hands. to finish, I rubbed the body cream on my dry hands. later, I was washing dishes after dinner in the kitchen and couldn't believe how soft my hands were. I even made stephen try it... two minutes to soft hands, count me in!

I think the ultimate care set just became my go-to gift this year! not only are the products super yummy, the packaging even notes which goat's milk made the product. you can see where luna signed off on my body cream below. so sweet, right?! ok, if you haven't met the goats by now - you must.

the ultimate care set retails for $40 and is available in five different scents:

unscented for the very sensitive skin,
lavender with a light floral note to promote relaxation,
stress relief for an invigorating aroma of peppermint, spearmint, and eucalyptus,
rosewood citrus, a gentle and summer-y scent,
and
mother earth, warm and spicy with patchouli, orange, clove, and ylang ylang

be sure to check out serenity farms' website to learn more about their delicious body products, as well as the farm. anyone else want to move out to the country, play with baby goats, and make yummy products?

thank you to serenity farms for allowing me to try your ultimate care set c/o. as always, all opinions are my own.

  3. Haha yes to holding things... I have to remind myself that I can usually get more, and things are meant to be enjoyed, but that's sometimes hard to remember!
