my bridal shower tea

just like that, my bridal shower has come and gone. I honestly can't believe it! I have always wanted to have a bridal shower tea and I was so lucky to have exactly that for my wedding shower, hosted by these lovely ladies. the trophy room at atlanta country club was the most perfect setting.

I decided to hire a photographer so I could make sure to get shots of my family members and friends and so that no one had to ask "will you take our photo" or deal with my "fancy" camera. it was great because I didn't stress about capturing the moments at all! and now I have several pictures that I want to frame and plenty to fill my wedding album with, ps I just received my gorgeous monogrammed jan sevadjian book (more to come later on that topic!).

I really wanted to have my shower in april so that the weather in georgia would be warm and spring would be in full force, luckily the weather totally held out and it was a beautiful day.

these sweet tea cup candle favors were the most adorable surprise, I will probably never burn mine. my friend casey also handmade "let love grow" seed favors that were beautiful.

I've only lived in atlanta for about six years, so I don't have any high school or college friends here. I am so lucky to have made so many good friends from work and graduate school over the past few years. if there's anything a shower will do, it will make you feel grateful... or least that's how I felt :)

sweet spanx girls...

the family of the groom...

MOB and MOG...

can you tell we are sisters?... my maid of honors are my two sisters and they had the most delicious tea mojitos created for the shower. they were so good! I got the recipe and will definitely be sharing it on the blog sometime soon.

all that's left to do now is to tie the knot {I may be oversimplifying here, because there are a few more to-do's}, but really we are about six weeks away from the big day. I mean, what the heck. how does time fly so quickly!? everyone says that about engagements, and I finally get it. I'm definitely trying to soak in these last few weeks!
