atlanta house tour: guest bathroom

our main guest bathroom is right off the kitchen, nestled between the stairwell which makes it convenient but also private enough for guests. after spending hours at the fabric shops in atlanta, I decided we could go a little wild in this small bathroom by stepping out on the fabric a bit. my mom suggested an ikat, and I loved this twist on a ikat which incorporates so many great, rich colors such as gray, camel, black, and espresso.

I have a special piece of art that is a print of a watercolor rendering of midtown, atlanta. I knew I wanted this to be a part of the guest bathroom and luckily the colors in the print and the fabric are perfect. the piece also introduces a bit of teal from the skyline and reflection of the lake at piedmont park. I tied in some faint teal with tassel towels that I found at target.

a closer shot of one of my favorite pieces is below, the painting of midtown atlanta that's very drippy and artistic. one of our sweet neighbors gave us this soft teal candle for our housewarming party and it just happened to match beautifully in the guest bathroom and it smells amazing too!

I love the punch of print in the pattern of the curtains and the softening of it throughout with warm grays and teals, and this sweet little air plant.
