beach house reveal: sliding barn doors

I can't believe it's august and that summer is coming to an end! we only have one more beach trip to make this year and it will be a jam packed weekend with wedding planning wrapped in. I'm also excited to start sharing pictures of our new atlanta home, but before I start with that - I wanted to share another beach house reveal. if you're just joining the beach house tour, click here to start from the beginning.

it seems that sliding barn doors are on everyone's wish list these days and my parents used them in several places in the beach house. they also incorporated beachy colors to lighten up the doors and rooms.

I love this bunk bed room, the fabric my mom chose for the curtains is full of colorful turtles and coral.

my mom's office is in the hallway near the bunk room, her office has this gorgeous frosted glass sliding barn door.

moving on to the downstairs, a guest room bathroom features this white sliding barn door below.

so what do you think of sliding barn doors? I love that my parents put a twist on them using unique colors and materials such as the almost translucent glass in my mom's office.

  2. The barn doors looks so beautiful in your parents' beach house! I love how they even painted one of the doors a beachy blue to give it a more coastal feel!
