gift guide: the monogrammed necklace

as you may know, I guest blog over at marleylilly's the monogrammed life as part of a panel of bloggers with a shared love of monograms! grab a cup of joe and jump on over to the monogrammed life to check out the blog and the other bloggers on the panel, definitely a fun way to spend your sunday morning.

so the holidays are quickly approaching and the gals at marleylilly gifted me a gorgeous pearly white and gold monogrammed necklacesometimes it's hard to tell from photos how a piece in white will turn out, will it be too translucent or too stark? luckily, the pearl white in this necklace turned out to be totally elevated and subtly shiny. the monogram is nice and thick - the perfect balance of dainty yet substantial.

with 18 colors, 3 different pendant sizes, 2 types of chains, and 2 fonts to choose from, this initial necklace makes a perfect gift. I happen to love the pearly white and gold and would recommend this color choice since it practically goes with anything.

as we near the end of november, I've slowly been getting my apartment holiday-ready. we won't get a tree until after thanksgiving, but I have picked up some scented pinecones, candles, and festive candies. and boy, do we have candies. stephen has been the main culprit here, bringing holiday candy and cookies home almost daily.

I've also been finishing up my holiday shopping, I like to have most of my shopping done by thanksgiving so I can avoid the malls. going to a mall in atlanta during the month of december is the worst decision you could possibly make. marleylilly has some fantastic ideas for holiday gifts, from home goods to scarves to vests and jewelry - definitely something for everyone! I particularly love their super soft monogrammed scarves for gifting too.

PS. these scented pinecones from michael's are amazing!

  1. How are you liking the pearl monogram necklace? I'm debating on purchasing one.

    1. I like it! I usually wear a gold plated monogrammed necklace and this pearl color is a nice change up. it's a soft white with a subtle pearly sheen. the quality is good as well. hope this helps and thanks for reading!
