I hope everyone had a nice long weekend! we spent labor day weekend at my family's new beach house. my parents' dream has become a reality and it's crazy to think that over a year of hard work has flown by (easy for me to say, right). I remember when it was just a plot of dirt and a bunch of blueprints. building a house from start to finish is such a unique, exciting, and daunting task.
my parents have done an amazing job designing and furnishing each and every detail of this gorgeous home, I thought I'd share a few photos from one of my favorite rooms - the living room. the furniture is from restoration hardware and my mom made all the drapes by hand. we are so happy and excited (and grateful) for this vision to come to life.
their swoon-worthy living room has space for 12 people to sit around a view of the ocean or the television. speaking of tv, check out the really cool tv easel from restoration hardware - it's on wheels and can be moved wherever you want for best viewing. this way it doesn't dominate the room by being hung on the wall. love it! these oversized couches are so inviting, accented by lots of throw pillows and blankets which makes gameday and movie night extremely comfy.
I love love love this table candelabra centerpiece. it makes such a dramatic yet soft statement and you can easily swap the candles out seasonally.
I can't wait to share more parts of their home in the future. to tease a bit more - my parents hit it out of the park in terms of textiles. vibrant seahorse prints and turtle prints throughout the house blend perfectly with the subtle neutral prints in common areas. I can't wait to make more memories in this house with friends and family in the years to come.
