sweet and spicy broccoli

my hands-down favorite veggie is broccoli, steamed and lightly buttered with salt and pepper. we eat it at least once a week and I honestly could eat the whole batch without a main dish. simple and yummy and I realize, slightly plain jane. sometimes... you gotta shake it up and this recipe does just that.

sweet and spicy broccoli
ingredients:
-4 cups chopped broccoli
-1/4 c. light mayo
-2 tsp. sriracha hot paste (or less if you don't like a lot of spicy)
-1 tsp. soy sauce
-1/2 t. lime juice

instructions:
1. cook your broccoli for five minutes in the microwave or steam it til bright green. turn your oven on to broil.
2. meanwhile, combine the mayo, sriracha, soy sauce, and lime juice in a small bowl. stir very well.
3. toss the broccoli into the small bowl, soaking up all the sauce and coating the florets thoroughly.
4. broil for 3-4 minutes until sauce turns translucent. remove from oven, stir and broil for another 2 minutes.
